What the heck is The 360 Marketing Strategy?

While the rest of the world was adjusting to the “new normal” during the pandemic and post-pandemic, relying on digital and working remotely…I was in year 6 of working remotely and independently. I have often made the joke of “I’m un-employable” or “I enjoy the flexibility and freedom!”. That being said, what I didn’t notice until I was at a burnout stage with my previous business, was that I was lacking a TEAM.

I am fiercely stubborn, driven, and ambitious and tend to be in the ‘Type A’ category (or wound type as some have said). It’s a blessing and a curse. The saying “If you want something done right, do it yourself…” was like a broken record inside my head. I was completely and utterly convinced that I….I…could be the employer, the instructor, the accountant, the client relations/salesperson and the marketer.

Then came rock bottom. I had the realization that I had to be surrounded by a team and that my trust issues needed to go out the window!

Then came change…

Relying on others can be difficult, especially in business. When it comes to gaining new clients and retaining existing clients, it can be fearful that the person you invite to join the team will do just that. “Are they representing the company well, are they representing me well…should I have just done it?” Yes, this will run across your brain. When it comes to creativity, every artist is different (and yes, I say artist because even in digital, creativity is an art). You have to trust their process. There are SO many facets to a team. Different roles, different responsibilities AND different personalities hence, different processes.

That’s where the 360 comes in! Business is about nurturing relationships and that’s the same with your team. If your clients trust you, you must trust your team and I can guarantee that you are not doing a good job by yourself or with just one other person. 360 marketing is all about building trust with your audience as well as the people you interact with in business. So, my advice would be to re-evaluate. What is your TRUE passion? What are your strengths? Where can you outsource? Go from there.

So take the leap, build your team, and GROW.

The 360 marketing strategy is how you will grow as a company and frankly…as an individual also.
