How Travelling Abroad Can Make you a Can Make You A Better Entrepneur
How often have you heard the saying “There are not enough hours in the day?”
The truth is, being an Entrepreneur or Freelancer does come at a price. You could be juggling the position of the employer, CEO, CFO, HR, Marketer and Business Developer, all at the same time. So how and why would you take a mini-vacation or travel when there is so much to do?
Entrepreneurs are creative, ambitious, natural connectors, innovators and control freaks to a certain extent (don’t deny it…). So how could you take time away from the desk and the multitude of meetings to keep our enterprise thriving? What’s the point? You would be anxiety-ridden, right?! The truth is, yes you will have some anxiety at first, however with that being said, you need to understand that travelling and stepping away from your desk is beyond beneficial.
Regardless of whether you travel to a secluded cabin or the Caribbean, a change in scenery will get those creative juices following. You may come up with a new product, business model or ways to expand your business.
Your body WILL thank you. Being an Entrepreneur and business owner takes a physical, the mental and emotional toll on us all. So put your phone on airplay mode and take pictures with your phone instead.
Also, sometimes planning your own vacation will allow you to satisfy those controlling tendencies!
As Entrepreneurs, we are excellent at promoting work/life balance. But how good are you at actually following your own advice? So, next time you see a small lull in your work - plan that trip, book a flight, road trip somewhere or be adventurous and I can guarantee you won’t regret it.
